How well prepared was the lecturer, 2. How clear was s/he in delivering his/her lecture, 3. What was the level of his/her inter-activity, 4. How interesting was the topic to the students, 5. What was general impression of the School. Next to each lecturers' name the students had space to write their written comments. The students also evaluated food, accommodation, excursion, organisation of the School, and Student Discussion Club. The following are the most relevant excerpts from the evaluation made by students:
In terms of general impression the highest marks by the students have been given to three lecturers Prof. Peter Gross, Prof. Joseph Julian and Prof. Vojislav Stanovcic. The best prepared lecturer was Prof. Stanovcic. In terms of clarity the students liked most Prof. Peter Gross who also delivered lectures that were the most interesting. The best inter-active approach was performed by Prof. Joseph Julian. Overall avarage for all five categories demonstrate that the students were rather satisfied with the School.
Among twenty-nine participants thirteen were from Serbia, two from Montenegro, Bulgaria, Romania, Albania, Hellenic Republic, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as one from Croatia and (F.Y.R.) Macedonia. There were also two US citizens living in the region: one in Hungary and one in Serbia . There was a substantial interest in this year programme and consequently the School received around hundred applications but due to limited number of participants had to reject most of them. The most of applicants were from Serbia , Romania , Bulgaria and Albania . The most of participants are post-graduate students and some of them are junior faculties. Majority is associated with some NGOs or political organisations in their countries.
The School gathered prominent Serbian and foreign political scientists. There were five political scientists from Serbia , four from the United Kingdom , two from the USA , one from Canada , one from the Hellenic Republic and one from the Russian Federation . Two originally planned lecturers: Prof. Splihal from Slovenia and Prof. Vujacic from Belgrade were not able to come.
